I am a new member to this group and this is my first post to this site My Yorkie AllyOops is having surgery in the morning to amputate her right front leg
She broke her leg above the elbow in Feb and the vet set it and she wore a cast for 6 weeks when the cast was removed the break did not heal so the next thing he tried was doing surgery and placing pins in her legs she has had this on her leg for 7 weeks today
her leg was checked and her leg has not healed
does anyone have a 3 legged yorkie how well are they doing I feel so bad for her she is not quite 5 years old The vet said this is the right choice for her as she is at the risk of bone infection and may also have nerve damage
