I have been noticing Max lying flat on the floor facing the sofa with his head tucked under the bottom of it..( our sofa has legs with no skirt).....this seemed so strange to me....so I just sat nearby and watched him for awhile.
Finally I realized what he was doing......little Maggie would try to heckle him into chasing her around the sofa......sooooo by placing his head on the floor he could watch her little feet and as she came near to him he would pounce on her and the race would be on.......he would frequently look under the sofa to determine her position.......Max is now a certified surveillance puppy...
