I have tried both types of harnesses. I have the step in harnesses now, I like them much better. However, I can't keep the harnesses on them all the time, they will chew threw them. Yes they can chew through a step in harness just as easily as the other type of harness. So now they only wear them when we go outside or go for a walk. They wear collars all day with id tags on them so that if they were to get out, they would have some identification on them.

I also ordered from Didi's Creations, she does an excellent job and the harnesses are very well made. Plus she has so many cute designs to choose from and her prices are great!! I wanted something that wasn't just plain and one color and I found her site and will order from her from now on.
