I agree we are diminishing the Christ in Christmas but, my goodness, what happened to Thanksgiving??
It seems to me like it really got lost in between Halloween & Christmas. I've even noticed that in some stores when they do their "after Halloween" clearance, they put the Thanksgiving things on clearance. as well.
Sorry for the "attempted hijacking".

Even when I was in grade school we couldn't say "Merry Christmas", and it had to be a "Holiday Party", not a Christmas party. Which is fine because I understand we gotta include everyone, but my complaint is that we would learn about Chanauka (sp?) and Kwanza, but God forbid we learn anything about Christ. I believe my mom even called the school board on that one too.
I still say Merry Christmas, and I will continue too. Of course, to people I know who dont' celebrate Christmas I will say "Happy Holidays", but I still have my right to celebrate what I want too. |
