Yes, I am going to place an ad in the newspaper if all the puppies are not spoken for by the time they are 6 weeks old. They are going to their new homes when they are 8 weeks. I am hoping to find homes for them just by word of mouth and not have to place an ad. We got Addi when she was 6 weeks old and Romeo when he was 8 weeks old. I do know some breeders keep them longer than 8 weeks and some let them go at 6 weeks. My vet recommends 8 weeks.
Yes, my furbaby Sofia Chanel came home a day before 8 weeks and would not eat on her own for another month or so. She is quite a small one, though. I had to hand feed her with a mixture of this and that every three to four hours the first two weeks. That meant waking up in the middle of the night! I still love her, though.
I'm thinking the bigger babies can go at 8 weeks. It depends on their size. I'm no breeder but that's just my experience.
