Our youngest daughter is very attached to our new litter of puppies (yes, we all are). Right from the start we have talked about how they will be going to their real homes when they are 8 weeks old. We had a lady come to look at our males last Sunday and Tori would not put her favorite little pup down for the lady to see. She kept saying, "I know she wouldn't like Eric"(that is what she named her little favorite). She overheard me talking about placing an ad in the newspaper when they were 6 weeks old and she started crying. How do other people handle this? Do any other breeder have trouble with their own children when they have to sell their puppies? I know Tori expects to keep Eric and I don't know how to handle it. There is no way we can keep another dog in our house (if I want my husband to stay). Any advice would be much appreciated!!
