I am going to try the butter trick...actually thought about doing
something like this but couldnt think of what...almost wished I had
brought home a placenta.

They are eight hours old now, not crying and sleeping in a huddle but I
am concerned about getting enough nutrition in them....when can
nutrical be introduced? I have plenty and the supplement I am giving
them has colostrum.

thank you for the suggestion!!
Get the puppies to latch on even if you must hold her down to do it...Nursing will stimulate hormones from the brain that may help her to accept the pups.

Ive never given a newborn nutrical and would hesitate introducing it to the fragile systems until theyre 24-48 hours old...if needed I recommend nutridrops and only a minor drop once or twice a day, or glucose solution.

Remember never to feed a chilled newborn puppy, make sure theyre warm without drafts at all time.
