Lymes disease in dogs isn't considered as serious as in humans. There is a test called the "C6 Test" that will show results 3-5 weeks after a dog is hit with lymes, which is before clinical signs would become obvious. Lymes in dogs is treated with antibiotics for a longer period then what is normally prescribed for other health issues.
