Sadie is 2 1/2 yrs old and I brought another puppy in house...Lillie was 8 weeks old...I was very worried about how Sadie would act as she was the only dog...I thought where Lillie was a puppy Sadies "motherly instinct" would kick in (she never had puppies though) but, where Sadie is an adult I thought she would "mother" Lillie....NOPE! Sadie didn't like Lillie AT ALL! For the first few days I thought "My God....what have I done!" Well each day got better and better...Lillie is 21 weeks now and Sadie adores her...don't get me wrong....Sadie still puts Lillie in her place. They play all the time...if one goes to the water bowl the other follows and they drink together....so cute!....I have even got them laying next to each other...so....don't give up hope...before you know it they will be best buddies.
