Default Vomited... should I be worried?

Duke vomited today when I was at work. My boyfriend called me to tell me about it and to whine that he had to clean it up. Well, my boyfriend was sharing his food with him, yet again. He was giving him chicken nuggets, Wal*Mart brand, that are highly seasoned. He said he had given him about four (little balls) when he went into his carrier and acted like he wasn't feeling well. Then, of course, he threw up. My boyfriend said he tried to get more chicken from him after that and has been acting normally all evening. I just figure it was the food and that's that... but, he's given it to him before and Duke has been fine. Duke has also been breathing a little heavy, maybe a slight snore, that he didn't have before. He's not been sneezing or reverse sneezing, and I actually took my stethoscope and my ear and he didn't seem to be wheezing any. He's still very playful, eating well, pees and poos fine... my boyfriend tells me I'm just worrying too much. I am just afraid something is going to happen to him and I'll lose him and it will be my fault. I am trying to get him a vet. appointment for a check-up soon... just having a lot of conflict with the days they can take him and it being a busy time in school as the semester is wrapping up. All right, so off subject. Just any opinion would be great.
