Goat's milk is great, but you will still have to fortify it with egg yolks, yogurt and a multivitamin.
10 oz. evaporated milk (whole fat or part skim -- do not use all skim) or goat's milk
3 oz. sterilized water (baby water or boiled water) -- delete if using goat's milk
1 egg yolk (raw)
2T regular mayonnaise (optional)
1 cup whole fat yogurt
One thing I've always been puzzled about and why I prefer Benebac is that I believe heating will destroy any beneficial bacteria in the yogurt.
I, too, don't let mine go home until at least 11 weeks. A small size (4 or 5 pounds full grown) brings more money than papers. Of course, good coats, short noses, bites, proper and sound body structure also are important, but I have found all these things to be more important to buyers than papers, especially since I have a spay/neuter policy. I have sold unpapered males for $800 and females for $900.00 that are going to be in the 4 pound range or might barely hit 5. All of them sold within a few days and dogs do not bring high prices here. An AKC dog that is going to be 7 pounds will probably only bring about $500 at the most here. So, if yours are going to be on the small side $400.00 is not near enough. You'll have more of an idea when they are about 8 weeks old and that is more than enough time to set prices and find good homes.
