Higgins was 7 1/2 weeks old and weighed 1.5 lbs. when we brought him home. The vet said he was fine to bring home at that age and would bond well with us. Aside from a case of coccidiosis, which cleared right up, he's been a happy, healthy little boy. If we had waited, this little $450 puppy would have been GONE ..... with someone else! It is my opinion that good breeders hang on to pups a little longer.........but I sure am happy we got Higgins, because we could not afford to pay more for a puppy and really wanted a Yorkie. We fell in love when that little bundle came running right up to us, even though we had come to see his little sister. We wanted a little female, but Higgins wanted US! In defense of the breeder, Higgins mom and dad were there and really darling, well-cared-for dogs. LOVED Higgins mom! She wanted to get in the car with us and come home with her pup!
