 Massage Method!!!
My dogs sometimes expect a treat, but I know a GREAT alternative. It works all the time for me! After your dog does a trick correctly, massage their shoulder muscles, their chest area, and on either side of the spine. Gently coo to them "good boy" or "good girl" or whatever you use. I swear by it! When you massage your pet correctly, you'll know. They will squint their eyes and kind of go into a daze. It relaxes them and stimulates blood flow making them more alert and able to learn faster.
I taught my two year old chihuahua to play dead about a month ago using this method. I taught my other chihuahua, one year, to shake, also using this method. It took the younger one less than a week to master this trick and the older one about twice that long. Your babies die for your attention, and they absolutely love massages. Trust me! Try it. You'll get good results. |
