Jillandjack, for some of us flying to get the puppy isn't a possibility. I have no one to watch my boys if I leave the house, buying 3 plane tickets and taking two (11 and 9) with me wouldn't be an option, no matter how bad I wanted my puppy. We did all drive about 1 1/2 to the airport together and anticipate her arrival. I'm am so thankful that the lady I bought her from liked talking to me enough and felt so secure that she was getting a great home that she was willing to send her to me.

In fact, she just contacted me yesterday to see how she's doing(she's almost 8 months old now). I sent her pictures and told her how much we love her. I live in a very small town and not everyone has a friend or family member they can count on to watch their children for them. Some of us have to do the best we can and only rely on ourselves. I hope anyone who thinks that if the new owner isn't willing to fly or drive to get the new puppy then they're not deserving of it. Just take every precaution you can, starting with a healthy puppy...and it will turn out fine.
