My dogs aren't aggressive with their food normally either - but you made me remember a couple times when they were - and it was also when they got something they usually don't get - and something they really wanted to keep - and almost always meat or a bone etc.
***** I certainly would never take it personally if my dogs growled at me or even snapped so that I would let them keep some prize that they had found. (This doesn't mean that I wouldn't take it away from them - depends on what it is) -- but I can understand their occasionally wanting to keep something.

I agree..
.....She found something very special to her...I mean a real bone to a dog who never gets them is just like a box a chocolate truflfles to Snowwa...hahaha...It was a prize to her and she wasn;t going to give up without a fight....I wouldn't worry about it.
