Some dogs can be aggressive to bones and not food. I don't know why, but my dad's dog is like that also. Maybe it is because it is something they really want and don't want you to have whereas other food isn't as important or interesting to them. My cocker was like that too. She could care less about food but when it came to bones, you better watch out!! Ever since then I have trained all my dogs since they were young not to be food or bone aggressive. You will have to work with her on it, but she can overcome this bad habit. I would practice by holding a bone in your hand and letting her chew on it that way and teaching her to release anything when you tell her to.
