My puppy was shipped to me (about a 3 hour plane ride). She was a bit scared when she arrived (animals are only allowed to travel as freight in Australia) but the freight guys were really lovely and got her out of her cage and gave her a cuddle.

The biggest issue I guess is that if they are shipped as freight they have to be checked in about 90 mins before take off and then take up to 30 min to be unloaded....its a long time for a puppy not to go to the toilet.

My little Bailey was fine within an hour of getting her home and she LOVES the crate that she was shipped in and sleeps in it all the time.

It cost me an extra $170 but was more than worth it.
