you don't need sterile equipment. i used a clean pair of eyebrow sizzors. you know the ones with really small blades? have someone cradle him in the baby position or if he's good have him lay on his back. then slide the sizzors under the stitch and snip. if you want to be sure your not anywhere near the skin take tweezers and pull up on one end of the stitch so its not touching the body, then snip it and pull it out. its not going to hurt him at all. its not like with people. they feel nothing unless you have infected stitches. he won't even know what your doing
