I feel so sorry for Dot, I hope she recovers with out to much of an emotional scar or her Mommy.
I feel bad that a few pits can give all pits such a bad name. I have never owned one but my bother has. One he had for 14 years before he died of health reasons. Dogger was a great dog, my neices would play on him, you could take food/bones right out of his mouth and he wouldn't even growl. Dogger was rasied with a family and was very much a family dog. My brother has 2 pits right now. They were his other pits babies. Because I haven't been around them much I don't feel as trusting of them as I was of Dogger. They are really good girls but I still more nervous of them.
I feel anyone that owns a breed that is deemed a dangerous breed should have to have a special licence and mandatory obedience class and advance classs. This is including my brother. They should also have to have a special licence be a proper breeder of these breeds. IMHO
