A month ago Piper was spayed. The vet did blood work & her enzymes were high. She repeated them before surgery & said they were elevated but not enough to cancel surgery. Had me make an appointment in a month. Took Piper in yesterday. They are higher than ever. The vet scheduled an appointment for next week to do an bile acid test. My question is, should I get insurance? I was just reading in here the cost if it's a liver shunt. Is it to late to get insurance? And if I do get the insurance how fast does it kick in? Can I cancel it after a year? Do they check on pre-existing conditions, or cover them?
