It depends on the size of the parents of course but my last litter was born fat and happy, 5-6 oz. Not all of them ended up big though. The smallest newborn ended up being the biggest dog and the pup in the middle of the group at 12 weeks ended up having a major slow down and at 5 monthes is only about 3.5 lbs. so he won't be over 5 lbs as an adult. You just never know they're all little individuals. I like to see a little fat on my newborns, it gives them a good start.
