Puppy showers are becoming more popular. There are sites with ideas (http://abclocal.go.com/wls/story?sec...ws&id=3169925), supplies (http://www.funstufffordogs.com/Qstor...1864534&BACK=), etc. The thing with showers though is that you don't usually throw them for yourself -- someone else does it for you. And puppy showers, just as the human baby showers are optional -- so I would not get all "miffed" and feel you have to buy someone a gift. If your heart is not in it, forgo the shower.
