My husband and I were just discussing treats last night. The majority of treats the main ingredients are wheat (which many dogs are allergic to and causes skin allergies) and corn syrup. The reason it came up is because I got a trial sample of the Purina Pro Selects in the mail - actually, doesn't look too bad, but the main ingredient is turkey and I prefer chicken over turkey. Anyway, the dogs loved it and did tricks for the little bites until I got bored. It's not because this particular brand tastes so good they think any dog food given by hand, especially a different one then they are usually fed is a treat and the ingredients are far superior than any treat I have found. |
