Well I am not exactly sure myself.. but I haven't had a problem "free breeding" -if you will- with my yorkie... but my yorkie poo she didn't take and they got HOOKED alot. both were ready and old enough. it was just that there is something wrong with one or the other that the vet didn't catch or they didn't get together on the right day... I asked the vet and he said that they might not of "bred fully" ya know.. like --- ummm... when a man and a woman try to have a baby and it takes a couple +/- a few times.... (that is the only way I know to describe it)
