I wouldn't want my pet to be used as stud. The only reason I would even consider it, would be if several very experienced show breeders with winners convinced me that my dog was of such a quality that the breed would suffer if I had him neutered.
Of course, I don't even have a male anymore because the last one still wanted to mark even after I had him neutered very early so I'm probably not the most objective.
