How many puppies does a Yorkie usually have?

I got Sadie, and she will be three in July. Her breeder retired her as she had a rough time with her last pregnancy.

With her first litter, she had four pups. Her second litter was in January and she had five, and the breeder said she had a real rough time.

I am thinking that 4 and 5 puppies is alot for a 5 and a half pound Yorkie.

Any advice?
