I think his ears will go up - if you shave them. You can get a beard/moustach trimmer at Walmart and it will do the trick - it won't cut his ears. If you are still afraid, take him to a groomer and have him/her shave his ears.

Here is a picture of Rexy's ears when taped up. I taped each one individually and then taped them together so they would stand up. Some fold them like a taco and tape them that way - I'm not sure what way is best.
