when the dog is still a puppy they usually don't say anything.. i used to take Kayah with me to Target all the time.. but then she got bigger, and they told me to either leave or leave her in the car (which i will NOT do).. i work at Walgreens and I know that.. like the other post says.. any store that sells any type of food.. will not let you bring a pet in, but everyone knows me at almost every walgreens in illinois, so Kayah can come in with NO PROBLEM

But to answer your question: No pets are NOT allowed in stores.. unless the security doesn't see
