I am just wondering if - when the receptionist asked the vet for you if the liver and kidneys had been tested --- if he didn't wonder if you knew something that he didn't know - regarding your pup's liver and kidneys. And asked the receptionist to ask you why you were wondering. I can see a vet being busy and asking the receptionist to go back and ask you why you were wondering about this......to find out if there had ever been any liver or kidney problems that he didn't know about.
I really doubt the vet meant for you to feel that whatever they did was "none of your business." Can't believe this. I'd certainly give him the benefit of the doubt on this one.

I think the reason for the snack was because he wasn't going to have the surgery until after 12, before 3. That is a long time to go with out eating. As for the rudeness when I asked about the liver and kidneys, I understand your point, but the tone of her voice was real snotty, not inquisitive at all.
