If he is yelping when you pick him up and the incision is very red, I would definitely take him in. If you don't feel comfortable with your vet, go to another one. I wouldn't wait this out - get him seen today if at all possible.
I'm not sure about antiobiotics for neutering, but they are not normally given during the spay procedure. Sissy got 4 teeth pulled during her spay and I know lots others here have had teeth pulled during neutering/spaying as well. I don't recall anyone talking about being given a preventative antibiotic.
