I don't know why some have to be snobs. I understand that yorkie people are trying to protect the breed from puppy mills and unethical or uninformed breeders. We want our yorkies to remain a strong breed, true to our heritage and looking like the breed standard. It's not easy to be the newbie in any field. They should get to know you and your motivation before judging you. I'm new at this, I adore the breed, I have a yorkie mentor who is knowledgable and well respected. Everyone had to start somewhere, why not support the newbies so that when the vets retire, we'll be here to carry on the banner?
