I had a maltese and found her a home earlier this year. She was a year old and would not housetrain for nothing! (Actually she was house trained, she would only do her business in the house and not on the pee pads if you know what I mean. lol) She was a cutie but she was nothing compared to my yorkie. She had a mind of her own. She would escape the yard and then run as fast as she could from me. She would jump in the middle of the table while we were eating and steal food off of my plate. She was a mess. And I could blame it on no training but I took her to training classes and she went for 12 wks. and it was a 6wk class. She never did graduate. I loved her but am glad she has another home now. I don't know if all maltese are like this but mine was.
