If they are going out of town - they are going to leave Daisy somewhere - and I think you are probably the best one to care for her.
First of all - she probably won't have her puppies while they're gone - but, if she does - you have some experience..
I think I would have them bring Daisy to your house as many times as possible before they leave.....just come over and visit - and perhaps even let her spend a night there. This may help her feel a little more comfortable when she stays with you.
****** But do be sure to have an agreement with them -- that you can take her to the vet if she appears to be having any problems at all ---at their expense, of course. I would make this a "must" -- if they wanted me to babysit.
You certainly wouldn't want to end up with a little dog needing a C-section --and the possibility of it hadn't even been discussed....
Also - to make the vet more comfortable - have them write a note (like you would have the parents do if you were babysitting a child) - giving you permission to get whatever medical care is necessary for their dog while you are caring for it.
Cover your bases......
