My shihtzu (fitz) has done that a time or 2 . He was having night terrors . He would just start crying out and then go limp . And it would take us several mins. to wake him. One was so bad he pooped all over himself . Our vet checked him for everything and said all it could be was nightmares . He is 8 years old now and still has a nightmare from time to time . But they are not near as bad . Now its a bark or a wine nonthing more .
