Mya was crying to me today and wanted me to come downstairs...There was her favorite toy at my husband's feet. I asked him if he was ok, he had just hurt his back. He said he was but not throwing Mya's toy fast enough for her, because he was hurting. So I started playing with her and she was happy. I could of just said “NO” or “Knock it off” but she deserved some playtime. If she really wants something she will shake.
Mya also picks up our emotions. If we are stressed (Our daughter moved back home and took over the lower level of our home and so our home is upside down right now and we have no idea where half of our stuff is)
Mya will pick it up the stress, the pain we are feeling, and the anxiety. I wondered if she fetched me to also let me know that my husband was not feeling well. She has done this for the cat and our late dog Comic.

She will get nervous if we are nervous but...she also, as I mentioned, will shake from excitement, the thought of playing or going out will get her going, mostly she cries. If Mya sees me putting make up on and getting dressed up, she will think I am going out, usually true, and wants to go out with me. It was so sad when she jumped in to her travel bag the other night. She is not allowed in our local bowling alley because "she is too much distraction" to those trying to get strike from everyone fussing over her. Mya actually really likes to groomed now, combed, brushed and fussed over and told she is so pretty. Yes Yorkies are high maintenance dogs, which is why I chose one. *giggle* She will shake in her bag if a small child gives her lots of attention, because she wants to play with that child. Most think she is scared, not true.

That being said, you can tell Bella “NO”. To try and stop the behavior. Just like children, sometimes dogs can have bad timing. Mya cries in the car because she wants to sit on my lap. I tell her “NO” and she stops. You could try that.
