Hmmmmm. Well I would be afraid to do it. It is a great compliment they want you to take care of her. But stressing her that late in her pregnancy could cause problems, possibly causing her to go into to labor earlier. She might be fine, but Im sure it will stress her. Ugh.....Im not sure I would want that responsiblity. I just had an extremley sick female after whelping, I certainly wouldnt want you in that postion or a C section with a dog not even yours.
I think she should be left in her own enviroment with someone there, but if you do decide to do it for whatever reason I would definitely get some things in writing as mentioned earlier. One good thing is you say your experienced with birth, not everyone has that knowledge, so if something did go wrong you would be able to see it quickly and Im sure the owners have thought of that. |
