I bought mine from a reputable show breeder and paid alot. He has slanty eyes and a coat as you describe, doesn't resemble the breeder's picture at all. I would say it's a very thin coarse silk but he's not a redleg. He has brittle ends. I had asked his breeder after he arrived if she had cut his coat, said no or what had she done to it. However she totally mispresented this dog and I caught her in many fibs afterwards. She also said he'd have a coat to the floor. I doubt he'll grow a coat as long as a puppy cut.
JamieNC, my dog is past 8 months and Bella is much younger. I hope she developes a gorgeous coat.
