 Rescue Remedy
Hi,
Bailey gets so stressed out going in the car and going to her training class, that I asked our vet about remedies to try on her. She is 18mo and only 5 lbs so I am very leary about giving any medications. The vet said several of his patients are on Bach's Rescue Remedy that you can buy at any health food store. You put a couple of drops in their water bowl or a drop on their tongue.
It works very well, I only give it to her once a week, when we go to her training class. I would buy the Bach's vs the pet store brand which is alot more money and also has alcohol in it.
Another remedy the pet store owner where I puchase Bailey's soccer balls told me to try is to give your dog a teaspoon of pumpkin before a car ride, it is supposed to soothe their tummy from car sickness. (I have't tried this because Bailey doesn't get sick, she is just a nervous wreck in the car)
