I'm not sure what caused it; there wasn't really a change in his diet, he didn't eat a lot of treats, he is acting normal. He had it since this morning. If your baby still is having loose stools, and he's had them all day, I'd think it's time to call the vet. These little babies can dehydrate so quickly! The mucus could be anything! His stomach could be upset, his intestinal tract could be irritated or inflamed, or it could be nothing at all. I've given mine pepto in the past but, there again, unless someone else can tell you the proper dosage, you need to contact your vet - he/she can tell you exactly how much to give based on his weight.
