I know this will not be of much help..but in all my years of breeding I have learned this...the male will either be interested or he won't..and there isn't anything you can do if he is not interested..no shots, pills or magic potions.
Give it a few days..or go to a well used stud...best wishes.
PS..a 12 or 13 day first breeding is not too late at all. I have had a number of 14 to 16 first breedings result in good size litters.
