My bitch came into heat last Monday, would I count Tuesday as her first day of estrus? She isnt "standing heat" but she will move her tail to the side when I stroke her back side...........yet the male dog does not mount her. Is she not ready or he? lol

edited to say, both dogs are almost 2yrs old. male dog is not in his own environment but has been here since Thursday evening. they are getting along well.
