VERY WELL SAID....and not to take away from the loss of Lily - that's the sole reason I never bred my girls ...my vet encouraged me to breed Chanel back when she was younger - yet, then asked me if I was prepared to possibly lose her - that question alone made up my mind.
I'm so so sorry about your Lily.....I don't know what to say except that she had to have been in pain and now is free...poor poor girl - that's very tragic
My heart goes out to you and Lilly and good luck with her babies

I wish there was someway that owners who are considering breeding their pets could be made aware of these tragedies. If all of those who have lost their precious babies could somehow talk to them and tell them of their losses, the deaths of those precious poor mommies would not be totally in vain. I am so sorry for the heartbroken owners but the photos of these poor mommies are just about more than I can bear. So many of them look so swollen and miserable even before the birth. Please just enjoy your precious pets and don't risk their lives.
