What is the color of her coat at the roots and what is the texture? Every once in a while a pup comes along that is deep in color, has the texture of coarse silk, and grows about 1/3 the rate of other coats, breaking off easily. If that sounds like your baby you may have a redleg on your hands. They are used by breeders every 4th or 5th generation to bring color and strength back into the line. They're a breeze to groom!
