A mile and a half -- a great! walk, by the way -- might be a little ambitious in the cold and rain. I'd stop if they don't stop shivering.

My guys prefer snow and 20 degrees to rain, but I make them walk anyway. Put a raincoat on, keep up the pace, and they should be able to deal with it.
