Love Yorkies rock!

Yeppers. Most are born w/ the bite issue, or it develops shortly after their teeth emerge. Once in however, you should always check and keep a mental note of it as time goes by. A bad bite can complicate things in the future, not dramatically so really, but has potential. Let alone stopping him/her from being shown in conformation-so do Obedience or something else!

There are chances though that if born w/ a bad bite-or shortly thereafter, that they can grow out of it. I've had a few dogs that have done this to me in the past. Disiduous teeth really should be removed if they don't come out on their own by the age of one (my vet's opinion). It's been known that "younger" (more inexperienced) vets have accidentally removed adult teeth during a disiduous tooth extraction. The difference between an imature adult tooth and a disiduous tooth can often be close together in size and so unless they're experienced, it's been know to pull the wrong ones! But by a year of age the difference is often noticeable even to a novice w/ our little ones that it's a no brainer. And your little guy would still be growing some by then.
I hope this helps.
