Ok so I took Ninna to get her 5 month shots (including her rabies shot) and a checkup yesterday. She now weighs a healthy 2.1 pounds!! Anyways... the vet advised me that this is a good time to begin thinking about spaying before her first heat cycle because it would greatly reduce her chance of mammary tumors (breast cancer), ovarian cancer and uterine infection. He advised me that these are especially confirmed in smaller, more delicate breeds as yorkies! Can anyone share their thoughts on this with me please.
