My Maltese, Biscuit, gets bad tear staining in the fall and winter. I had tried EVERYTHING and nothing seemed to work. My Yorkie, Muffin, never got it until about a month ago. She really got it bad. I had heard about a product from my groomer called "Angel's Eyes". It's a powder that you sprinkle on the dog's food. Well, it has worked wonders on the discharge that comes out of their eyes and the staining is now almost gone. It really is a miracle product. You still have to make sure to clean their eyes with a warm washcloth a couple of times a day but it's worth a try. I think I paid $24.95 for a bottle that I bought at my groomer's. I just got a couple of more bottles on-line. I paid the same price but there was no tax and no shipping fee. Just Google "Angel's Eyes" and you'll find different web sites where you can buy it.
