Trust me, $300 later, I threw them all away and washed all of her toys. PLEASE PLEASE throw out old chew bones, and wash their toys, they CAN AND WILL get sick from the bacteria. My vet took a blood test to make sure it's nothing more serious and will get back to me tonight. But until then I am spreading the word on this.
Poor Coco! Nobella, I had no idea this was going on - too busy at work to spend more than five or 10 minutes here yesterday! I'm so sorry this happened to Coco but glad to read she is acting more like herself now but I'm so glad you shared this! What an educational post for the rest of us who may not have realized this! In the past, I have always taken up their chews at night simply because of my fear of their choking during the night if it gets too small. But toys - as careful as I was when my skinkids were younger, I just NEVER thought about doing the same with Gabby and Gage's toys! I will be going home tonight to put them all through the wash (plush ones) and I will be washing the others down with clorox. Thank you for the information - and tell Coco that although I am so sorry she was sick, she has probably just saved a lot of other yorkie babies and their mommies from the same fate.

Any word from the vet on the test results? I'll check back in for an update.

Gabby and Gage send puppy kisses and get well wishes
