That is ridiculous...Im not sure if any other state has this but
out her in Cali. our animal shelter will do it for free if your a low-income, on a government assisted program, or over 65 years of age or older and if your
none or the above $60-$300 depending on area maybe you should look around alittle more

Well here's a web site i ran across this should
help you fine another clinic or hospital that will do it for lower cost
