It is a good sign that u have such a contract. I would really look into into though, just to make sure it is nothing serious. Luxating patella is hereditady, congenital, but it doesn;t necessarily means that you will be able to know from the begining that the dog has it. I know some people that only found out their yorkies had it after a few months.
I hope it is nothing serious though...
